Due to its energy composition and palatability, TrotecMix can be used to replace other raw materials, such as wheat, maize wheat, maize, barley, soya and even sugar and palm oil.

In fact, TrotecMix can be compared to a version of the usual cereal seeds, but fortified with fat (5 times higher than higher than wheat and barley) and with a higher energy yield. These very important qualities are particularly appreciated for feeding to pigs (sows and piglets), cattle and poultry.

Trotec attempts to meet the current demand from feed manufacturers for a palatable feedstock to stimulate feed consumption by farmers. TrotecMix is consistent with the European Union's targets to reduce food waste by 30% by 2025 and 50% by 2030.

In addition, it is estimated that the production of over 200,000 tonnes of TrotecMix per year frees up over 40,000 hectares of agricultural land for other crops each year, making Trotec a champion of sustainability and the circular economy. In this way, Trotec Mix also meets the objectives of the FEFAC (European Federation of Animal Feed Producers) 2030 Sustainability Charter, which calls for, among other things, meat production with less feed, a reduced carbon footprint and a boost to the circular economy.

Quality through our custom heat treatment

Applying in-house knowledge and advanced technologies, Trotec has designed its own unique heat treatment with indirect trying, effectively guaranteeing a consistent microbiological quality of our product at all times. This unique process also provides the excellent digestibility quality of TrotecMix.

5 times more fats

TrotecMix contains up to 5 times more fats compared to the same quantity of wheat and barley. As the lipids are already part of the matrix, the fats in TrotecMix are easily absorbable during the formulation of animal feed.

Through starch, sugar and fats, TrotecMix is able to provide the large amounts of energy animals need. The ingredients are carefully selected and mixed based on their nutrional qualities as well as taste to provide a well balanced, stable and tasty product.
